Enhance Your User Experience

Welcome to the very first edition of the Caught newsletter!
As we approach the end of 2025 and the holiday season, we’re thrilled to announce a set of exciting new features designed to elevate your experience and provide even more engaging, interactive content. Whether you’re creating quizzes, designing challenges, crafting educational journeys, or experimenting with entirely new formats, these updates are here to help you make your content smoother, smarter, and more visually captivating.

We’re kicking off this festive season with four powerful new features that will elevate your interactive experiences:
Our New Hint System, Property Changes per Attempt, Ranking & Multiple-Choice Upgrades.

Let’s dive into the what’s new:

Ask for Ranking – A Brand-New Question Type

Have you ever wanted users to not only choose an answer but carefully sort a set of options into the right order? Now you can!
Our brand-new Ask for Ranking question type empowers you to build interactive moments where users must arrange items in the correct sequence. This could be anything – from ordering steps in a process to ranking preferences or sorting elements by importance. The result? A fun and challenging layer to your games and interactive content.

How It Works – Drag, Drop, Decide
Users receive a list of answers – either displayed randomly or in the order you’ve defined. Their task is to drag and drop items until they believe they’ve found the correct sequence. If they get it right, the action chain moves forward. When paired with Quiz Mode, the experience becomes even more flexible: the next action proceeds regardless of correctness, enabling smooth narrative progression.

Customize Every Aspect – Make It Fit Your Flow
As always, customization is key. You can refine the ranking question just as you’re used to from us by adding a personalized title and question prompt, select enumeration styles – like numbers, letters, or Roman numerals -, optional time limits for added excitement. Plus, if users need help, you can enable retries or provide automated feedback that locks correct placements to guide them.
This combination allows you to build ranking tasks that are easy and engaging – or challenging and strategic – depending on what your experience calls for.

With Ask for Ranking, you’re adding a new, tactile, and rewarding layer of interactivity that blends learning, discovery, and gameplay into one smooth experience.

Multiple Choice Question – Now with More Flexibility

Our Multiple Choice (MC) question feature just got even better! What used to be a simple one-answer tool is now a versatile system where you can now choose from a variety of answer modes, making it more versatile than ever before.

New answer modes – Build the Logic You Want
You now have access to not one but three powerful answer configurations:

  • One correct answer (classic mode)
  • Multiple correct answers, select one – several answers are correct, but users must identify the most accurate one.
  • Multiple correct answers, select all – users must find every correct option.

Whether you want users to select just one correct option from a list or choose all the correct answers, this feature allows you to create more complex and nuanced questions that allow you to design anything from beginner-friendly selections to advanced multi-layered reasoning tasks.

More answer modes – Go bigger, go better
You can now add up to 12 answer possibilities (A–L), giving you more room to design detailed or complex questions. This gives you the freedom to create complex quiz questions, broad selection lists, nuanced decision scenarios, trivia-style challenges with large answer pools.
Similar to the “Ask for Ranking” feature, you can also provide immediate feedback based on the answers provided. You can let users know whether their choices are right or wrong, and even allow for multiple attempts with customizable retry options.

More options mean more creativity – and more ways to engage your audience.
This Multiple Choice Question update adds a lot of flexibility for creators, allowing you to tailor questions based on your content and user needs. Plus, you can still limit how many retries are allowed, and set a timer to keep things engaging!

Hint System – A Smarter, More Dynamic Way to Guide Users

We’re thrilled to introduce our brand-new Hint System – a flexible, intelligent tool designed to support users as they navigate challenges, quizzes, and assignments. Whether you want to give them a gentle nudge in the right direction or provide a detailed clue that helps them rethink their approach, this system ensures that help is always contextual, meaningful, and perfectly timed.

When Users Receive Hints – Full Control, Maximum Flexibility
The Hint System gives you complete freedom to decide when users receive additional guidance. You can allow hints to appear only when a user explicitly requests help by pressing the ‘Request hint’ button, or deliver them automatically after a wrong answer. If your experience calls for it, you can enable both approaches at the same time.

How Users Receive Hints – Sequential or User-Selected
You can choose a sequential (top-down) approach, or allow users to pick from a list using a dropdown menu.

Customize Each Hint – From Quick Clues to Detailed Guidance
Every hint can be tailored with a short description and a full hint text that reveals the complete explanation.

Property Changes Based on User Progress – A Powerful New Quiz Mode Option

We’re also introducing a sophisticated new way to reward (or challenge) users based on their progress. When a user provides the correct answer, you can apply property changes.

  • Default: Apply the same property changes for every attempt.
  • Per attempt/hint: Property changes vary depending on attempts or hints.

Since both wrong answers and requested hints count as attempts, this provides fine-grained control over scoring.
